The first step in the implementation of any new technology or information system in an organization is conducting a Business Process Analysis. This Analysis accomplishes several key objectives, prior to committing the financial or personnel resources to any potential projects. We explain it to our clients as, "going into the project with your eyes wide open". This is a critical step in preventing "scope creep", which is a chronic issue, and sometimes done by design in the software industry. At Systems Logic, we believe in these budget conscious time, that should not be the case! At Systems Logic we have a staff with a great deal of industry experience, who have maneged distribution centers for both large and small companies in the past. It is their experience, coupled with our in-depth knowledge of systems, that allow us to identify not only what you want to do better, but how you are doing it today, and the best transition path between the two. The Analysis is conducted as a “job shadowing” exercise, ensuring that all critical business processes warehousing, receiving, shipping, and inventory management are documented. We don’t want to take people away from their jobs but to watch them carry them out.
